Seattle Parks and Recreation is expanding hours and programming at several Teen Life Centers across the city, adding new late-night opportunities aimed at providing safe and engaging spaces for young people.
The updated schedule includes Saturday Late Night programming from 5 p.m. to midnight at Teen Life Centers located at Garfield, Meadowbrook and Southwest community centers, part of a broader network of nine sites citywide.
The expanded hours are designed to give teens ages 13 to 19 more opportunities to connect with peers, participate in structured activities and spend time in supervised environments.
Teen Life Centers operate as free drop-in spaces offering a range of programs, including recreation, arts, gaming, mentoring and leadership development. Meals and snacks are also provided, helping create accessible and supportive environments tailored specifically for teens.
City officials say the additional late-night hours are intended to increase access to safe spaces during evening hours, when youth may otherwise have fewer structured options for activities.
The expansion also includes a one-year pilot program at High Point Community Center in West Seattle, supported by the 2026 City Council budget. The pilot will extend Teen Late Night programming to provide additional access to structured evening activities in that area.
All Teen Life Center programs are free and open to teens across Seattle.
