Byrd Barr Place will host its third annual Fall Kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 25, offering a family-friendly event to mark the beginning of the organization’s holiday season programming. The event runs from 12 to 5 p.m. at Byrd Barr Place, located at 722 18th Ave. in Seattle.

The Fall Kickoff is designed to provide a safe, festive alternative for families who may not participate in traditional Halloween activities. The event will feature a pumpkin decorating contest, a costume contest, complimentary food provided by Al’s Gourmet Sausages, and a winter coat giveaway for children and teens ages 3 to 18. Attendees can also register for Byrd Barr Place’s upcoming Holiday Gift Giving Celebration in December.

The event marks the start of Byrd Barr Place’s annual giving season, which continues with the organization’s Turkey Giveaway on Nov. 17 and 22, and the Community Holiday Party scheduled for Dec. 6.
