The departmentโs Health Systems Quality Assurance Division, which oversees licensing standards for more than 80 health care professions, announced the disciplinary actions Tuesday. Information about physicians and physician assistants is available through the Washington Medical Commission.
Recent disciplinary actions in King County:
- Scott Allen Watson โ The Department of Health issued a cease-and-desist order prohibiting Watson from practicing as a certified nursing assistant or home care aide. According to the department, Watson does not hold either credential. Officials said that in October 2023, while under eviction, he claimed to be a licensed caregiver for a homeowner, demanded $390,000 in payment, and filed four wage liens that delayed the sale of the property. He was fined $1,000.
- Mary M. Harder (NA00185335) โ In July 2025, the Department of Health and Harder entered an agreed order in which she surrendered her registered nursing assistant credential. According to the department, Harder admitted in February 2024 to sharing patientsโ medical information and giving expired, non-prescribed medications to a patient. The order prohibits her from resuming nursing assistant practice in Washington.
- Paul Robert Johnson (BA60763668, LH60550815) โ The Department of Health indefinitely suspended Johnsonโs behavioral analyst and mental health counselor credentials. Officials said Johnson did not respond to a department investigation into a complaint received in April 2024.
