Lake Stevens 20, Cedar Park Christian 0
The Lake Stevens Vikings improved to 2-0 on the season with a dominant 20-0 victory over the Cedar Park Eagles in North Sound Football League Peewee Division play on Saturday. Lake Stevens struck early, with Jayceon Willis sprinting 47 yards for a touchdown on the opening drive. Ke’adryan Summerville added the extra point to give the Vikings a quick 7-0 lead. Willis found the end zone again in the second quarter, capping a physical drive that featured strong runs from Charley Lau and Camden Arnold. A successful conversion through the air extended the lead to 14-0 at halftime.
Cedar Park battled throughout, fueled by tough runs from Dutch Sherwood and key defensive plays by Gordon Sun, who recovered two fumbles. A standout effort from the Eagles in the final minutes saw them drive to the 5-yard line, but a touchdown-saving tackle by Lau as time expired sealed the shutout. Lake Stevens added a third score early in the fourth quarter on a 37-yard run from Beckham Moistre. Despite the loss, Cedar Park showed grit and improvement, falling to 0-2 but gaining momentum heading into their next matchup.
